Elaine Turcotte Alexander

let’s get real for a minute

You’re not looking for another coach who throws generic strategies at your burnout and calls it a business plan.

You want someone who sees the whole you.

The woman quietly holding everyone else together.
The mom wondering how she’s supposed to keep doing it all.
The leader who’s built so much, but is ready to build differently now.

That’s where I come in.

I’m Elaine, a business strategist and mindset coach for therapist and health practitioner moms who want to grow thriving, sustainable businesses without burning out.

I bring 20+ years of experience in business growth across multiple industries, including working inside three different clinics. I’ve helped women grow without sacrificing themselves, reclaim their leadership without losing their minds, and create systems that hold them—while they hold everyone else.

(And yes, I’ve lived through burnout. Twice. I’ve also felt the weight of pouring everything I had into someone else’s business—only to realize I’d left myself behind.)

the wake-up moment

My life changed fast. I met my husband at 39, and six months later, I was pregnant with our daughter. Suddenly, everything I’d built had to bend to this new season.

I thought I’d take a year off.

Instead, I was back to work five weeks postpartum—mothering from 5 AM to 5 PM, then coaching from 5 PM to 9. I told myself I was managing, but the truth was—I was barely holding it together.

At the same time, I was deep in a master’s program in the neuroscience of mental health. I thought taking a contract in someone else’s coaching company would offer stability. I put my daughter in daycare and traded freedom for predictable income.

For 2.5 years, I sat on back-to-back Zoom calls. I showed up, over-delivered, and held space for everyone else.

My calendar was packed. I was squeezing clients into every spare moment, working evenings just to keep up.

And quietly, I started hoping for cancellations. Not because I didn’t care—because I had nothing left to give.

Behind the scenes, I was running on empty—working to exhaustion inside someone else’s structure, for someone else’s goals.

I felt used. And I ignored it—until I couldn’t anymore.

Eventually, I transferred to Yorkville’s MACP program. That’s when I started hearing story after story from other therapist and practitioner moms:

Burnt out before their practices even began.
Juggling practicum, parenting, and unpaid emotional labor.
Unprepared for the business side no one ever taught them.

That’s when it hit me:
We don’t need more productivity hacks.
We need businesses that actually work for our lives.

That’s when The Reclaimed Practice was born.

my approach

Growing a business while raising a family isn’t about working more.
It’s about working smarter.

You’ll never hear me say, “Just get up at 5 AM and hustle.”

Instead, I focus on:

Strategic growth
Attract aligned clients, increase revenue, and grow in a way that protects your energy.

Mental load + burnout prevention
Because you’re not just building a business—you’re running a household, managing a family, and living a full life.

Smart systems + boundaries
Create structure that supports you instead of draining you. Systems that grow with your life, not against it.
